My baby's crowning!

Well, not really, but that's the feeling I have right now - she's almost here ... try to be patient ... just a little bit more & I'll be holding my new baby in my hands. New baby = book, not an actual baby. This body's not birthin' any more actual babies...

The latest word from Lorna at AK Press is that my book will ship from the printer to AK Press on November 1!

Since I'll be in the AK Press neighborhood to play a couple shows with Citizen Fish* on Nov. 3rd (Sacramento) and 4th (at Gilman in Berkeley), hopefully I can swing by the AK Press warehouse in Oakland on Nov. 4 and hold her for the first time.

* (see all the tour dates at www.myspace.com/citizenfishofficial)

Yayyyyyyy Jessica! So exciting! I just checked in for the first time here to see....OMG - your book cover! and everything. I love the story you started with, about the babysitters...

yes yes yes! I am so proud to know you and looking forward and hoping to tour with you and stuff like that. I never got it together to have a website either and wound up with a myspace (ha ha. its seems so much my daughters thing but....I do have myspace indie bookstore and info shop friends and can send bulletins. maybe you should do a myspace also.

I am so not techno savy that I can't even tell you how to get to my myspace, let me check - ok, its this: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=348658

maybe that will work or go to myspace and search: the future generation

YAY

I put a little picture of your book cover in the calendar, as well as a few of your grrrrrrrrls, one of you with the baby & sax, and one of you with a mighty belly.

I wish you could be here for the bookfair to autograph them for the masses...
